What data we process

Browsing data. The server hosting the website automatically records technical data (IP address, date and time, page visited, browser type) for security and operation. We do not use it to identify visitors.

Quote requests. The quote form does not send any data to our server: it calculates the price on your device and prepares a WhatsApp message. We only receive the details you choose to send (name, dates, number of guests) when you send the message yourself from the WhatsApp app.

Your stay. If you book, we process the data needed for your stay and the data required by Italian law (identity documents for the mandatory guest registration with the police, tourist tax, tax obligations).

Why we process it and on what legal basis

Answering requests for information and quotes: pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Managing your booking and stay: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
Meeting legal obligations (guest registration, tourist tax, tax): legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
Security and operation of the website: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We do not use your data for advertising and we never sell it.

How long we keep it

Quote requests that do not lead to a booking: as long as needed to reply, and no longer than 12 months. Booking data: for the period required by tax and public-security rules. Browsing data: for the technical period set by the hosting provider.

Who may receive the data

The website hosting provider; WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland), which processes messages as an independent controller under its own privacy policy; public authorities when required by law; our tax advisers. Requests made through Airbnb, Booking.com or Vrbo are also governed by those sites’ privacy policies.

External services used by the website

The website uses Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.) for its typefaces: your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. Links to Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps and booking sites open on those sites, which have their own privacy policies.

Cookies

This website does not use profiling, marketing or analytics cookies and does not set third-party cookies. It only uses temporary technical browser storage (sessionStorage) to open the right section when you move between pages; it is deleted automatically when you close the tab. For this reason no consent is required.

The guest guides (services, surroundings, restaurants, activities) are separate pages of the website with their own cookie notice.

Your rights

You may at any time ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format (Articles 15–22 GDPR), by writing to zingamarusrl@gmail.com or by certified email (PEC) to zingamarusrl@pec.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
